With just four years into the market, OnePlus has made quite a reputation for itself. The Chinese company’s promise of selling high-on features phones at a budget-friendly price is not hard to miss. In 2016, the brand came up with OnePlus 3T. Since then, they have settled on a bi-annual strategy for product release. The recent launch of OnePlus 5T in November 2017, surely anticipated another launch pretty soon.
Suggesting to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip set, Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, directed to an outright launch of OnePlus 6. Set to release in June, Lau seems to reveal that there isn’t going to be another release this year. In the previous model of OnePlus, that is OnePlus 5T, the company offered features that are hard to find in other brands such as LG, Samsung, or even Google. Unfortunately, these brands charge more in comparison to OnePlus.
While talking about the new launch this year, the brand seems to inculcate a lot more options. Users may also get to experience better aspects of the phone, which the brand thinks are better than the previous ones.
Let us take a look at the pointers that makes this much awaited phone a hit—
- Renewed design. As per the trends suggested by OnePlus itself in its previous models, there is high chance that some change will be there in OnePlus 6. The brand has always taken cue from the existing phones they have. This time, too, OnePlus 6 may bring a switch from what we have usually seen in other phones. However, talking about the durability issue, OnePlus may have to think through. The look that they have thought for OnePlus 6, seems like overly superficial. Glass is more prone to get damaged, so they well may give a little thought to it.
- The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 is right here in OnePlus 6. Having an 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage are what users might get really interested about. Critics might say that these things are very well expected of OnePlus. Memory configurations of 64 and 128 GB should have been made available to users in this model. However, the yet-to-be launched phone has a display of 6 inches along with a 19:9 resolution.
- OnePlus has dual cameras on the backside, of 20 and 16 megapixels. Though nothing much about it has changed, what differs from the previous phones is the location of the cameras. The rectangular fingerprint scanner beneath the cameras may confuse the user for a Samsung Galaxy S9.
- Talking about the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T phones, the speakers were quite something to boast of. Naturally, adding stereo speaker system is a must as we say, it is not always the loudness that matters. It is highly anticipated that the latest launch of OnePlus might have something of a stereo separation that would produce a soothing effect, while the phone is faced sideways to you. HTC U11 or Apple iPhone 8 and X have down-firing speaker that enables earpieces to double up owing to the secondary output source.
Altogether, OnePlus 6 is a great phone to look forward to. Considering the hardware expenses, a 256 GB model could cost something around $750. A lot is expected out of this model, only if the makers could pay attention to a few details, this model can be the best. Until the model makes its debut in June, we will have to wait.
