With the introduction of Desire 12 and Desire 12+ in India, HTC unveiled its two all-new mid-ranged smartphones. However, both the models were globally introduced by HTC back in this year March. Both the smartphones were featured with acrylic glass back surface and with all its updated features are expected to grab the attention of worldwide Smartphone lovers looking for reasonable priced latest models.
HTC Desire 12 is designed with 5.5-inch touchscreen HD display whereas, HTC Desire 12+ with 6.0-inch touchscreen HD display but both with similar 720×1440 pixels resolutions. Desire 12 is further featured with an internal storage facility of 16GB with expandable microSD storage option, 2GB of RAM and MediaTek MT6739 processor. On the other hand, Desire 12+ is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage with expandable microSD storage facility.
In teams of connectivity, both the HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ are similarly featured with A-GPS/ GPS, v4.2 Bluetooth, 4G LTE, 3.5mm headphone jack, Micro-USB Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and HotSpot options. The sensor on its board consists of a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, magnetic sensor, and motion G-sensor as well. However, considering its operating system, HTC Desire 12 is equipped with Android and HTC Desire 12+ with Android 8.0 Orea. Both the smartphones offer battery saving and smart alarm setting options.
Both the smartphones are featured with rear LED flashlight but Desire 12+ with an 8-megapixel front camera (f/2.0 aperture) and 12-megapixel rear camera, whereas, HTC Desire 12 with a 5-megapixel front camera (f/2.2 aperture) and 13-megapixel back camera. Desire 12 is powered by non-removable Li-Ion 2730 mAh battery support and Desire 12+ by non-removable Li-Ion 2965 mAh battery support. However, both Desire 12 and Desire 12+ will offer Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF). The PDAF is a really unique feature, which will ensure that users can get clear detailed view even with moving objects.
HTC Desire 12+ is extraordinarily designed with a fingerprint sensor on its back. This smartphone weights 157.5 gram and measures 158.2×76.2×8.4 mm. On the other hand, Desire 12 weights much lighter than Desire 12+, 137gram and measures 148.5×70.8×8.2 mm. However, both the smart device supports Dual-SIM (Nano). Hence, with an outstanding 6.0-inch HD screen, 18:9 ratios HTC Desire 12+ will offer its buyers with better as well as bigger viewing experiences at moderate value. If the price is a problem, buyers can also opt for HTC Desire 12, which is no less featured and efficient than Desire 12+.
HTC Desire 12+ and HTC Desire 12 were priced at Rs. 19,790 and Rs. 15,800 respectively. Both the HTC smartphones are available with color options of Warm Silver and Cool Black. Pre-orders for HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ are exclusively made available on HTC E-Store and will starts on 7th June, this year. However, from 11th June 2018 onwards both the smartphones will also be made available for retail. This smartphones also have the ability to throw a great competition to the newly launched Honor 10, Moto J3, Samsung Galaxy S8 and also various up-coming or recently launched smartphones as well.
