Nokia introduced the latest version of the Nokia 2, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5, budget smartphones at an event by HMD Global held in Moscow, Russia on this year May 29. HMD Global took the initiative to send invitations for the event as mentions for a worldwide release of new variants. Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 succeeded the Nokia 5, Nokia 3 and Nokia 2, which got uncovered last year at different intervals.
The three iterations of Nokia also earned the certificates very recently in Russia. The certified smart devices conceded the model numbers TA-1116, TA-1105 and TA-1075, which are the 2018 Nokia edition. However, before the event schedule, Nokia did not disclose any official launch for this three Nokia variants but as per as the launch made by Nokia in the last year during June-July. Therefore, it is assumed that the company will maintain its trend with the launch of the all-new Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 as well. But with the launch of Nokia 5 (2018), Nokia 3 (2018) and Nokia 2 (2018) at the event in Moscow, Nokia made the assumptions of the buyers true.
Specifications of Nokia 2 (2018):
Nokia 2.1 is featured with 5.5-inch HD display with a 720 x 1280 pixels screen resolution with anti-FP coating and 16:9 aspect ratios. The all-new Nokia 2.1 runs on v7.11 Android (Nougat) operating system and implemented with 1.3 GHz, Cortex A7, Quad-core processor, which is paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. With the use of microSD card, internal storage can be expandable up to 128GB. This smart device is also supported by non-removable 4100 mAh battery, which claims 2-day battery life. Nokia 2.1 is further featured with 8MP rear camera with LED flash and autofocus as well as 5MP front camera for selfies.
Nokia 2 measures 77.7 x 153.7 x 9.35mm (wide x height x thick) and supports 304 Adreno GPU. Other sensor of all-new Nokia 2.1 includes Proximity sensor, light sensor, compass, and accelerometer. However, this smart device does not have a fingerprint sensor. Nokia 2.1 offers dual-SIM slot (both GSM) that accepts Nano-SIM only. Connectivity options of Nokia 2.1 consist of 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, hotspot, USB OTG, GLONASS, GPS/ A-GPS, Beidou and 3.5mm headphone jack option.
Specifications of Nokia 3 (2018):
The all-new Nokia 3.1 is featured with 5.2-inch HD display along with resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 18:9 aspect ratios. This smart device measures 8.48 x 143.40 x 71.40 (thickness x height x width), weights 138.3 grams and designed with 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 8.0 Android Oreo. Nokia 3.1 is offered with both 2GB of RAM or 3GB of RAM. 2B RAM with 16 GB internal storage facilities, which is expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. However, 3GB RAM with 32GB inbuilt storage that can be expandable via microSD card up to 128GB.
Nokia 3.1 runs on 8.0 Android Oreo and non-removable 2990 mAh battery support. As per as camera features are concerned, Nokia 3.1 is designed with 13MP rear camera with autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash as well as 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and fixed focus sensor. The additional sensor of this smart device includes proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor and compass/magnetometer. Connectivity option includes 5.0 Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, 4G LTE, Micro-USB port, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, GLONASS, hotspot and Beidou as well.
Specifications of Nokia 5 (2018):
The all-new Nokia 5.1 is featured with 5.5-inch full-HD LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 18:9 aspect ratios. This smart device runs on 8.0 Android (Oreo) and implemented with non-removable Li-Ion 3000mAh battery support. Nokia 5.1 is powered by Octa-core MediaTek MT6755S SoC, which is furthered offered with both options of 2GB or 3GB of RAM. 2GB of RAM is sustained by internal 16GB storage and 3GB of RAM is supported by 32GB inbuilt storage, both are expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
Connectivity of Nokia 5.1 consist of 4.2 Bluetooth, 4G LTE, 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Micro-USB, GLONASS, GPS/ A-GPS and hotspot options. As per as camera is concerned, this smart device is featured with 16MP rear camera with LED flash and PDAF as well as 8MP front camera with fixed focus lens. Other sensor includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and accelerometer. Nokia 5.1 measures 70.73 x 151.1 x 8.27mm (width x height x thick) and GPU support of Mail-T860 MP2 as well.
All three recently launched Nokia smartphones are budget-friendly and have the potential to attract a great number of buyers for its extraordinary features and affordable rates. Hence, it seems that HMD Global done an acceptable job of re-developing the old Nokia brand into a fearsome player of the present Smartphone industry. The all-new Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 are surely going to create a new history with such affordable rates, approximately at Rs. 14,800, Rs. 10,900 and Rs. 7,800 respectively. Available color options for Nokia 2.1 are dual color- Grey/Silver, Blue/Copper, and Blue/Silver. Dual color options for Nokia 3.1 are White/Iron, Blue/Copper and Black/Chrome, whereas, available color options for Nokia 5.1 are Tempered Blue, Copper, and Black as well. All the three phones will be made available starting from June/ July 2018.
